I was thinking about a change of formation and have came up with the idea of expermineting with an attacking 4-5-1 formation almost like a 4-3-3 ... like Chelsea did with Robben and Duff.
Camp

Poll Results
Results are in regarding who you would prefer to be started on the left.
Ainsworth 0%
Balanta 10%
Vine 24%
Ephraim 66%
I am slightly surprised at these results as i thought there would be more support for fan-fave Ainsworth or for the on-form Vine but in Ephraim we have a real classy winger who can potentially get this club promoted and play in the Prem.

QPR 0 - Ipswich 0
Goalless draw which saw Lee Camp as Man of the match, possibly a reflection that Ipswich offered more going forward.
We obviously missed the creativity of Buzsaky and a fully fit Martin Rowlands.
Interesting that we keep a clean sheet with the re-introduction of Damien Stewart and i assume he will be kept involved next week with Delaney suspended.
However, perhaps with this sort of 11, goalless draws will be more common. In Blackstock we have a striker who is not scoring, Rowlands and Buzsaky were out. We missed the attaching influence of Delaney and perhaps a centre mid pairing of Leigertwood and Mahon is too defensive with not enough creativity.

Palidini's passion
Our chairman, Gianni Palidini was seemingly involved in a bizarre incident after last weekend's game with Wolverhampton. Apparently, the ageing Chairman stormed into the Wolves dressing room to confront their gaffer, Mick McCarthy, after Gianni believed Wolves last goal was unfair as it only arrived due to a suppossedly unfair amount of stoppage time. McCarthy didn't know who Palidini was and a confrontation ensued involving words and a push from the Wolves boss.
No charges are being brought by either side....
I think this is a clear sign of Palidini's passion for QPR and his desire to see the team do well. His actions here suggest he clearly is deeply affected by the QPR results. I have seen evidence of this on two other occassions. Once when he cracked his ribs by celebrating passionately with the then QPR gaffer, John Gregory, after QPR secured their Championship safety last season. The other occassion was when i witnessed his fury after QPR had a goal disallowed that appeared, to me, at least, to be perfectly valid. Here Gianni was distraught about this result and seemed generally gutted that QPRs survival hopes had been damaged. I was also there when he had a mini-confrontation with the then Plymouth gaffer, Ollie, after that game.
This bloke has recieved a huge amount of criticism from both QPR fans and the press but he seems like a genuinely pleasent character to me. Granted he has a fiery side to him, as McCarthy found out, but he appears a very pleasant bloke and he can often be seen outside the ground after the game, looking to speak to fans and happy to sign autographs and have photos taken. The fact that he has stayed on as Chairman despite not being a major share-holder suggests he really loves QPR the club and despite past wrongs nobody could deny that he has done wonders for QPR and under his reign at Chairman we have been transformed from a relegation doomed club on the borders of administration to a Premiership bound club which huge transfer budgets and fans daring to whisper .... "Champions league at Loftus Road."
I personally think Gianni is a lovely bloke and has done for QPR. This incident at Wolves is just a sign of his positive passion for QPR.

Ipswich Vs QPR - preview
I think QPR are due another win on the road and will be determined to get one after the perhaps disappointing points against Wolves last week. Hogan Ephraim returns to the squad after a 3 games supension following his red card and Martin Rowlands should make the 11 despite a hip injury. Delaney starts his 2 match ban after getting 10 yellow cards.
Probable QPR team
Camp
Lee Hall Connely Manciene
Vine Leigertwood Rowlands Buzsaky
Blackstock Agetmang
SUBS - Pickens Stewart Ephraim Rehman Balanta
Ipswich could be without Shefki Kuqi who is struggling with a hamstring injury as well as their two top scorers Jon Walters and Pablo Counago. David Morris and Richard Naylor are also out.
Ipswich do have a chance of getting the playoffs and are currently placed 7th, with a game in hand. They should be desperate for a win therefore to cement their chances. Their recent form is decent but unspectacular and although they have a decent 11 i think QPR could provide an upset, especially considering the injuries to the Ipswich side.

QPR to bid for Manciene and other defensive news
Read in the London Lite, of all places, that the club will definetly be making a bid for the 20 year old defender after he has impressed the gaffer. This is great news because he is one of our best players and has Premiership potential.
What is does however is suggest that some of the defenders we have been linked with arre perhaps less likely to come. If Manciene is added to the squad permanently i cannot see Carr, Ramage and Cranie coming to Loftus Road because quite simply we would have too many quality players at the club who simply wouldn't get near the 11.
I assume therefore that if Manciene does sign some of these linked players will not be brought to the squad. I am not sure about Carr or Ramage but i also think Cranie would be a positive addition for QPR.

Delaney out
Damien Delaney, our first choice lfet back, is unavailable for the next 2 games due to suspension after geeting 10 yellow cards this season, 6 at Hull and 4 at QPR.
Who will replace him ... Barker or Rehman ... two liabilities? Or will Keiron Lee be played here out of position.

Poll results
In terms of what location we should be playing our footy at:
59% said we need to move to another ground close to Loftus Road, preferably Wood Lane.
41% said we should stay at Loftus Road but try and improve it.
Absolutely nobody said they would like a ground share agreement with Chelsea or Fulham and nobody thought that Loftus Road as it is at the moment was satisfactory for Prem football.
I like both of the ideas: improving Loftus Road and moving to the BBC. However, i feel that a totally new stadium is the only way to really achieve the Champions League football that Flavio and Co. say they want.
Whilst i love Loftus Road an in a way would love to stay there i realise it would be unrealistic to anticipate Champion's league, or even Prem, football at Loftus Road.
Put simply, there are way to many improvements needed. The club shop is inadequate, the stands take way too long to empty, specifically Ellerslie which takes hours to clear after a game. Also, the leg room in Loftus Road is totally crap for a decent sized bloke and this would have to be improved upon at a new stadium. Finally, we need more than 19,000 seats and quite a bit more at that. How are we going to get these extra seats ... two tiered Ellerslie etc. I am not certain Loftus Road, as a building, has the potential to hold as many people as necessary.
Therefore, i agree with the majority of voters. We need a new stadium. BBC seems like a good plan as it is close to Loftus Road and won't alienate any of our fans.
Cheers to everyone that voted!

Flavio's intentions ...
In a recent interview Flavio stated some of his intentions for QPR's future.
Firstly, he has no plans to spend major money on transfer fees in the summer.
Secondly, he wants to stay in the West London area and is happy with the club's Shepherd's Bush location.
Both good pieces of news in my book. QPR wouldn't be the same if it moved out of West 12 and i am happy with buying the cream of the championship instead of buying big buck players past their best ...

Resrves lose
Our second string lost 3-0 to Charlton reserves ... not surprising considering the squad was largely under 18s.
Apparently, Pickens played well again but how well can you play if you let in 3 goals?

Sponsorship deal out in the open!
New deal is with Lotto Sport Italia and seemingly does not involve Kingfisher Beer as was earlier rumoured.
Lotto sport will create both home and away kits as well as training wear and "fashionable" QPR branded clothing. The deal is for 5 years and will be worth £20 million if we get promoted to the Prem.
Flavio and the representative for Mittal have said they are delighted with the new partnership and that it is the biggest deal the club has ever made.
The hoops are also staying for good .... thank God!

New Poll
I think the left mid position is the hardest to decide upon in terms of who should play there?
Assuming Rowly and Leigertwood continue at Centre Mid with Buzz on the right who do you choose:
The experience of Ainsworth?
The form of Vine?
The class of Ephraim?
The youth of Balanta?
Let me know who you think should start there next game!

Rowan Vine! Vine! Vine!
This bloke has really impressed me in recent weeks and he has proved a more than able deputy for Hogan Ephraim who possibly won't walk back into the team now his suspension is over. Although he has been good upfront and his partnership with Ageymang has shown potential he has been at his best from the left wing and i wonder if this is where he is best suited as he perhapes doens't have the right amount of goals in him to play as a striker.
He certainly has the potential to terrorise a full back, put a good ball in and cut in side and in recent weeks he has been our best and most creative player with the possible exception of Buzz. He has 2 goals in the last 3 games, at least 1 assist and got us that penalty against Scunthorpe ... which even he admits was not a penalty. What i didn't realise is that he has actually been our most expensive buy since the arrival of Bernie and Flavio and cost somewhere between 1 and 1.5 million but i think he was worth it and will certainly be vital in getting us promoted next year.

New sponsorship deal set to be unveiled
QPR are set to unveil a new sponsorship deal with Lotto Sport Italia. Supposedly a 5 year deal worth up to 20million quid if we do well etc.
Looks like Kingfisher beer is no longer involved.

Kit news
Supposedly the new kit is to be seen for the first time tomorrow. It is rumoured that the Supermodel friend of Flavio Briatorie, Naomi Campbell, will be modelling the new shirt.
Furthermore, it will be our biggest ever sponsorship deal, replacing Cargiant for Kingfisher beer, which is owned by a Formula 1 contact of Flavio.
Finally, instead of Le Coq Sportif the new kit will be maufactured by Lotto Sport Italia.

Stadium news?
The Times have done an article referring to our plans to move stadium. It lists 2 options ...
1. Wood Lane plot currently held by BBC
2. Groundshare with either Fulham or Chelsea
I would absolutely hate any groundshare and would much rather stay at Loftus road despite it's inadequacies.
The Wood Lane plot is definetly an option though.
Let me know what you think in the poll.

Poll results ... who did QPR let go off to early?
11th. Matthew Rose - 1%
i think this was the right desicion. Not sure Rose had the quality to continue at Championship level and to get QPR towards the playoffs. Now a regular at League 1 Yeovil.
10th. Kevin Gallen - 3%
Didn't seem to have the goals in him anymore. Couldn't see him being the 20 goals a season man we need. Now a star player at MK Dons who should be in League 1 next year.
9th/8th - Scott Donnely and Ian Evatt - 5%
Scott Donnely seemed not to work hard enough. Let himself go in the summer break badly and didn't seem to have the quality. Now with Waddock at Aldershot who should be in League 2 next year.
However, i think it was the wrong decision to let Ian Evatt go. Seemed a decent enough defender, probably more solid than the likes of Zesh Rehman. Perhaps a mistake. Now a regular at Championship Blackpool.
7th - Shabazz Baidoo - 7%
Seemed to have decent pace and some scoring ability although i very much doubt he could have ever scored the necessary amount of goals. Seems to have fallen of the rails a little bit lately, trying to launch a rap career and getting himself arrested. Probably, the right decision to let him go. Now a substitute at Dagenham and Redbridge.
6th/5th/4th/3rd - Marcus Bignot/ Patrick Kanyuka/Jimmy Smith / Paul Furlong - 9%
Bignot was instrumental in keeping us up and a passionate Rs player. Seemed like a nice bloke and a decent full back but lacked the quality for a promotion side, compared to Manciene, Connely etc. Again the right desicion to let him go. Now a regular at League 1 Millwall.
I personally beleive the clubs biggest recent mistake was releasing Patrick Kanyuka a hugely talented centre half who appeared to have first team potential. A thoroughly decent bloke to. He may still go far. Now a regular at League 1 Swindon.
Although, Jimmy Smith was never actually a QPR player, just a Chelsea Loanee, we probably could have signed him if we wanted. Huge goal scoring potential but didn't seem to offer anything else to the team and often faded out of games. Probably wouldn't be in the side now though. Still would have been nice to have him for the first half of this season. Now injured at Championship Norwich.
Paul Furlong was my favourite ever QPR player and i was deeply saddened by hiis exit, to Luton of all people. Still had it in him to score goals and he should have been kept for his leadership and experience, especially over Stefan Moore, Shabazz Baidoo and Marc Nygaard. Now a top scorer and star player at League 1 luton, having recently attracted interest from Wycombe and Barnet.
2nd - Marc Bircham - 13%
I liked Birch because of his pure passion and combative mentality. You got the feeling he would actually die for the shirt. However, it is unlikely he would have had the quality to still be in the team today having been replaced by Leigertwood and Mahon. Now a regular at League 1 Yeovil.
1st - Keiron St. Aimie - 24%
This guy never really got his chance at QPR after impressing early on with a great goal at Celtic in the pre-season. However, although i would have kept him for another 6 months you have to question the abilities of somebody who was turned down by a conference league side for not having enough goal scoring potential. Now a squad player at Barnet.
Thanks for voting and i tip Kanyuka to shine in the future!

Figo back on??
After it appeared Figo was most likely not coming to Loftus Road for the start of next season it now appears the deal could possibly be back on.
Strangely, enough i heard a DJ discussing his potential move on Virgin radio yesterday and the Sunday people now claim he will be offered a 75K a week contract by the club.
Whilst, part of me would like to see Luis at the Loft i think we should not go ahead with the deal for that price. 75K a week is too much for a Championship club to pay an ageing player way past his best. I also think it will caise resentment with the other players who will only earn a mere percentage of this wage. After all is Figo really 15 or 20 times more useful than the likes of Vine, Buzsaky, Rowlands and Ephraim ... I think not!

QPR will be a championship team next year ... basically!
After dropping two points today it seems basically impossible that QPR will this season achieve promotion throught the playoffs.
Seemingly, we are way out of the relegation battle as well and i would predict we finish 8th.
Looks like Championship football next year for the Rs!

QPR 3 - Wolves 3
Camp, Delaney, Mancienne, Blackstock, Buzsaky, Connolly, Agyemang, Vine, Hall, Leigertwood, Rowlands (c).
Subs: Mahon, Ainsworth, Pikens, Rehman, Balanta.
QPR lead 3 times but each time Wolves come back, finally making it 3-3 with a 95th minute equaliser.
Didn't manage to get to the game today so no match review but goals game from Buzsaky, Blackstock (penalty) and Leigertwood.
Observations
- Buzsaky now top scorer with 10
- Wonder why Blackstock took the Penalty and not Rowlands?
- Good to see Ainsworth back on the bench
- Ephraim back next game not sure if he will make 11.

Poll
The votes are in for who you think should be are top transfer priority to sign on a permanent deal in the summer.
The results are as follows.
10. Scott Sinclair 2%
9/8/7. Stephen Carr, Leroy Lita, David Nugent 4%
6. Robert Earnshaw 5%
5. Danny shittu 6%
4. Luis Figo 9%
3. Lee Cook 14%
2. Martin Cranie 19%
1. Michael Manciene 33%
Therefore, the winner is Michael Manciene and us Rs fans believe he should be are top priority for the summer. I believe this poll is very revealing for a number of reasons. Firstly, it shows that the majority of Rs fans are not hugely desperate to see the big name of Luis Figo playing at Loftus Road next year. Secondly, it shows that the fans believe new defenders should be Luigi's firm priority.
Defenders 62%
Midfielders 25%
Forwards 13%
Thanks to everyone that voted.
Please now vote in the other poll about which player we released to early.
Cheers!

Cheers!
Paul Furlong
Might be of interest for QPR fans to have a bit of a Paul Furlong update from Luton as he was a fan favourite when he was at Loftus Road. He has been exceelent for Luton and is their top scorer and has quickly became a fan favourite there as well. He has attracted interest from two league 2 clubs, Wycombe who are pushing promotion and Barnet, a sure sign of his quality at 39. Only this week Wycombe have offered him and 18 month contract but Mick Harford refused to sell him calling him Luton's star player.
Although his current contract expires at the end of the year with Luton it seems very likely that he will still be able to get a contract with a league club next year, with Luton and Wycombe likely to offer 1 year extra contracts.
I am glad at Fur's continued success as he seemed a nice bloke whenever i met him and was a great player for QPR. He always looked dangerous and carried a goal scoring threat like no other i have ever seen at Loftus road, and a threat that has only been rivalled recently by the late Ray Jones and Patrick Ageymang.
I wish him every possible success and hope he continues to score league goals into his 40s.
I might even get the chance too see him play for one last time as seeing as QPR are not playing on Easter monday i might accompany some of my friends to Millwall Vs Luton. If i do go to the game i will let you know how Furs, Biggy and Chris Day are getting on!

Current squad news
Two injury updates, 1 new father and the Actim index!
Gavin Mahon is back to full fitness according to Club Physio and should be able to start against Wolves if he is selected.
Elsewhere, Jake Cole is out for several weeks after having minor keyhole surgery to his elbow in a "clean-up" operation.
Also, congratulations to Dexter Blackstock whose first child has just been born.
Last week, Rowan Vine scored the highst score in the whole league in terms of the Actim index and Akos Buszaky scored the highest score for a midfielder, because Vine counts as a Forward.
In terms of QPR the Actim Index says are best 5 players are
Camp 20th best in league
Buzsaky 31
Ageymang 44
Stewart 51
Vine 63

Michael Manciene
Sadly, it is looking increasingly unlikely that this fella will stay at QPR. With Luigi looking to sign Carr, Ramage, Cranie and Lee it looks very unlikely that Manciene will stay.
I read on one of the message boards that Chelsea are happy to have him back and it seems that QPR could have signed him in january but chose not too. This is a great shame because he has massive potential and could be one of the players from our current squad who makes it to the Prem with us.
Hope he stays because hw simply wont get the games he needs at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully, Bernie and Flavio will get the wallet out but i fear it is too late already....

Peter Ramage to Loftus road?
New rumour that QPR will sign Newcastle defender Peter Ramage for about a million in the summer. He is just coming back from injury and the club sent a scout to check him out in Newcastle's reserve fixture against Bolton on Tuesday.
He is 24 years old and is known as a versatile defender who can play in several positions but prefers to be used as a centre half. He has made 50 appearances for the toon army.
Looks like this transfer could go ahead wih him and Stephen Carr coming from Newcastle. They will certainly add strength to the squad but i am not beyond doubt they would get in the 11 at the minute. Fitz and Connely look a decent centre half pairing and i would prefer to see Delaney or Manciene than Carr at full back. However, if they do come it will undoubtedly add to the competition for places and mean we have a stronger group of players to call upon so that we wouldn't need to use Barker, Stewart and Rehman any more.

Doesn't look as if Figo is going to come to Loftus road!
It is looking less and less likely that Luis will come to QPR next season. He has dismissed any link and the club has also now released a statement which basically suggests he wont come because of three main reasons:
1. we don't want to sign a 35 year old
2. he wont have the hunger for the championship
3. he requires superstar wages (50K/week) but no longer has superstar ability
Furthermore, he has just suffered a further injury setback meaning he will not be able to play in Inter's upcoming games and has said he is "annoyed" at rumours saying he will leave Inter.
Therefore, it doesn't look like he will be coming to Loftus Road.

Weilding the knife in the summer!
Luigi recently said he wants to enter the 2008/2009 season with a squad of 22 players, which suggests that many members of the current squad are likley to be culled especially considering that Bernie and Flavio will probably provide the money for some new signings.
This probably means that only 15-18 members of the current squad will survive for next season with others being released or sold. Bearing this in mind i decided to look at who is likely to stay and who is likely to move on.
Gks -
Camp - definite keep
Pickens - haven't seen him play but based on the qpr world reserve highlights he looks decent. Luigi will have to make up his mind but he will possibly stay.
Cole - i like him as a player and hope he stays but i imagine he will be culled.
Imagine Sean Thomas, Crowther and Goodchild will not be involved with senior squad.
Defenders -
Hall, Connely, Delaney - definite keep
Manciene - try to sign permanently, maybe Cranie to
Rehman, Barker and Stewart will probably be culled although i wouldn't mind keeping Damien for injuries etc because his is reasonable for this division and despite critiscims he has't done badly for us.
Howell and Goode will be released
Keiron Lee - the jury is out but he has impressed Luigi so he will probably be signed permanently if he does alright between now and the end of the season.
Midfielders -
Ainsworth, Rowlands, Mahon, Ephraim, Buzsaky and Legiertwood will all be kept.
Bolder, Bailey and Walton will be got rid off. Might get 100K for Walton or maybe just on frees. Perhaps Walton could come back to Loftus road but the other two are gone i think.
Strikers
Vine and Ageymang will be kept
Balanta will be given another year to impress because he does have potential (scoring in last night's reserve game and generally looking quite useful.)
Assume Dexter will be moved on for aboout 500K.
Nardiello will stay at Barnsley.
If i am right that means we will soon see the bakc off:
Cole, Barker, Rehman, Stewart, Howell, Goode, Bolder, Bailey, Walton, Nardiello and Blackstock.
This will mean next years squad will have 16 players including Ainswoth as a coach and Maniene but not including new signings.
Therefore, i assume Gigi will bring in a proven goalscorer, some defensive cover (Cranie etc) and maybe one more centre mid.
This probably means that only 15-18 members of the current squad will survive for next season with others being released or sold. Bearing this in mind i decided to look at who is likely to stay and who is likely to move on.

Loftus Road to BBC!
Luigi De Cainio, in a recent interview, stated his desire too move from Loftus Road , for a bigger and more "comfortable stadium". He said he wanted to see QPR playing champions league football within 4 years but that we would be held back by our current stadium. It looks promising that we will move to the nearby BBC, capable of housing much more than Loftus Road's 19,148. With our new rules hopefully this means that the fans would finally have adequate leg room space. However i would be very sad to leave Loftus Road as it is a very special venue and some of my best memories occured there.
But whilst i would be sad to leave it is a necessary sacrifice if we are really to become a force in English football!

Reserves
QPR reserves drew 1-1 with Southampton in the game last night.
Decent showign from the first team players with Balanta scoring and Pickens apparently looking very solid, with some very impressive close range saves.

Danny Cipriani
Lot of hype about this guy in the press at the moment. For those of you who don't know he is an England rugby player who is billed as the replacement for Jonny Wilkinson and has recnetly become a bit of a celeb after being dropped for his nightclubbing antics.
However, this is interesting because on his wikipedia profile it says he is an ex qpr player. Similarly, England rugby winger Paul Sackey was also an ex-QPR player. These 2 possibly represent the best 2 rugby players in England at the minute. How strange to have 2 ex qpr youth players in the England team for Rugby!!!

Matt Pickens makes reserve squad
Matt Pickens is 1 of 4 potential first team players in the QPR squad to play southampton in the reserve fixture. He is alongside Chris Barker, Zeshan Rehman and Angelo Balanta.
No sign of Jake Cole or Stefan Bailey in the squad though????
This fixture could be very interesting as we will finally get an indication of just how good Pickens is as this is his first games in an Rs shirt and i would also be interested to see if Balanta gets on the scoresheet if he gets a good run-out.

Fitz Hall
I like this guy a lot as a player and in a way he reminds me of Danny Shittu. He is very big and very strong and you get the impression that he will dominate in the air and he also looks decent on the deck and in the tackle. I also like the fact that he appears to be very passionate about his football and the future of QPR, especially with the way he runs the whole length of the pitch to join in with the celebrations when we score.
I think that Fitz is perhaps better complemented with a smaller centre half, such as Matthew Connelly or Martin Cranie rather than Damien Stewart or Danny Shittu. So far, I think he has played well for the Rs and specifically played well with Connelly and my tip is that Fitz will shine in the championship for the rest of this year and will be instrumental in our promotion next season.

Hull to beat Colchester at colchester
5/4 for the away win at Ladbrokes
Hull don't have amazing away form but they should prove too much for Colchester, who are bottom of the league and almost definetly getting relegation. 5th place Hull will want a win to secure their poaition in the playoffs!

Figo rumours and Keiron Lee
Figo 7/1 to start next season at QPR as the former world player of the year rubbishes claims of a link with QPR. When asked he said at the moment there was no link at all and it now seems less likely that he will sign. Still possible though!
In an interview Luigi De Cainio also stated his desire to sign Keiron Lee on a permanent basis ... seemingly a strange decision bearing in mind he has got hardly any time on the field at all. At the moment, i personally am not sure i would like to see this as a permanent signing. With Carr, Shittu and Cranie all linked with QPR there is no way he could get a game in defence as he can't even get in the 11 now with a much weaker squad. Personally, i do not rate him as a winger either.

New Poll
Just had a though of which players the club has recently discarded that potentially could have had a lot more too offer.
Let me know what you think?
Let me know what you think?
Yet another Buzsaky update but a positive one this time!
Today the rumours of Akos leaving to the Prem intensified yet again, with one newspaper i said saying a number of clubs were going to have a bidding war over him with a large number of top flight club's scouts looking at him. Indeed, it certainely looks as if Portsmouth, at least, are very interested and are prepared to put up a large sum of money, over 5 times what we paid for him, or one of their U21 internationals, Martin Cranie.
However, Akos has released a statement calling the talk "gossip" and saying that neither did he want to move to Portsmouth but he was quite sure he would not move to Portsmouth. Furthemore, he commented QPR were now in a strong financial position and would not need to accept a bid and that although he wants to play in the Prem it is his "dream" to achieve that goal with QPR. He also added he was happy at QPR and had every intention of fulfilling his contract, which exprires in 2010.
This looks very promising and Akos gave, at least, the impression of a player who is confident they are staying at the club!

More news on Buzsaky and Carr - and that contract clause!!
The below rumours seem true and it looks as if Portsmouth will offer £2.5million for Buzsaky who has a contract clause that he may speak to other clubs if a 2million pound offer is recieved.
Bernie and Flavio might have to get the wallet out to keep him but i fear the top half prem offer will be to much to keep Buzsaky.
Also it looks more and more likely that Stephen Carr will come to Rangers. He can't get a look in at Newcastle and wants to live in London.

Poll Results
The poll for who you think has been the best player for QPR so far this season is now closed.
Results are:
6th - Ageymang 1%
5th - Manciene 2%
4th - Vine 3%
3rd - Camp 6%
2nd - Buzsaky 17%
1st - Rowlands 69%
On the whole i think this is a fair result. Rowly has been outstanding this season providing great leadership and generally very good performcances. Am certain he will win the Club's offcial player of the year award too.
A new poll is now opened on which player you would most like to see signed permanently in the summer ... all of them are potential signings. Please let me know what you think!

Buzsaky out ... Rumours intensify
After my earlier post suggesting Akos is off to Pompey the rumours have only got stronger and it appears that there is definite interest from Portsmouth and Harry Redknapp.
We want Cranie ... he wants Buzz. I have heard whispers of a swap and a million to Rangers and rumours of a 2.5million pound offer from Pompey.
But at the minute the new owners don't need the funds so surely they would be inclined to hang on to our best player as a means of getting promotion next year. Buzsaky's impact has been incredible, scoring 9 goals and creating even more and i would be sad to see him leave like Cook or Shittu, even though a 2 million pound profit does appear to be good buisness.
The only problem is that Portsmouth are a top half of the Prem team, likely to get European football through winning the FA cup or even possibly through finishing 5th. Hopefully, this will not be enough to persuade the White Pele to leave Shepherds Bush as he is vital to our chances. The new honours have the money to keep him and should offer to increase his wages if necessary as he is so vital to our club.

Luis Figo and Stephen Carr
Strong rumours that these two are coming to QPR for next season to sign relatively short term contacrts (approx 2 years) - 2 very big names and 1 former world player of the year.
Part of me would love to see these players at Loftus Road and it is undoubtedly a sign of which direction the club is going in and how much money the owners are going to offer, becasue Figo's wage bill will definetly be high.
However, i am slightly concerned if these are the only tpes of players we will be adding to the squad, old heads lacking in pace, because it is clear that the only reason these two would come to Loftus Road is both because of the money and the fact that they are unable to get Prem football.
It is good to add this calibre of player to the squad but we must also add some young talent, from the top of the championship and middle of the Prem and i would be just as happy to see Shittu, Crainie, Earnshaw and Cook as i would be Figo and Carr.
Either way, if Figo does come i know who is going to be on the back of my shirt next year!

Playoff possibility
Now 7 points of the playoffs making it possible but very unlikely especially considering the tough fixtues to comes ... Hull, WOlves, Ipswich, Norwich, Watford, West Brom etc.
Not sure i want promotion next year as i would prefer to go up 1 year later with a stronger squad that has dominated the championship for the whole year.
Only 7 points though!

QPR Vs Scunthorpe - my review
QPR 3 - Scunthorpe 1
Half time - QPR 1 - Scunthorpe 1
Attendance - 14, 499
Goals - Rowlands (penalty), Ageymang, Vine
QPR come from behind to win by two goal margin showing good spirit after conceding from an early free kick.
Score a very dodgy penalty on the stroke of half time and then dominate in the second half with two late goals.
Player Ratings for QPR
Camp - 6.5 - decnt performance but was beaten by a weakish free kick which he could perhaps have saved had he reacted quicker. Made 1 or 2 decent saves and generally good at collecting crosses. Made 1 potentially very costly mistake at 1-1 by dropping a cross but luckily escaped.
Delaney - 6.5 - really like this lad and his refreshing and very attacking mentality. Again offered great attacking assistance today but made certain defensive errors. He needs to be told to rush back to his defensive position after bombing up the pitch as several times today he forced Connely to move accross to the full back berth after he had left his position.
Hall - 6.5 - generally solid but gave away 3 free kicks in bad positions, 1 of which led to their goal, by making the same mistake over and over again by holding the attacker. However, i like him a lot and loved the way he passionately celebrated when we scored, like he really cared. Think he could go on to be a very good player for QPR by the end of this season.
Connely - 6 - solid performance but unspectacular. Filled in at left back when Delaney went AWOL but generally had quite a quiet game today.
Manciene - 7 - another solid game from a Prem quality player. I keep saying it but we MUST sign him on. He has amazing skill when the ball is at his feet and is very confident on the ball, which he again displayed today. Decently pacey and good in the air too.
Vine - 7.5 - MOTM - another good performance for Viney at left mid. Scored an excellent lob and won us the penalty. Despite a good performance he failed to really destroy the full-back and put in as many quality balls as he did against Blackpool. I assume he will move back up to partner Ageymang when Ephraim returns.
Leigertwood - 6.5 - solid performance today. Unspectacular but held wll and offered a few decent balls. I prefer him to Mahon.
Rowlands - 7 - decent performance and came very close to scoring/creating on a number of occassions but always seemed to have his shots/balls blocked at the last. Scored a penalty too. Another strong Captain's performance and he really leads the lads on the pitch.
Buzsaky - 7 - official MOTM - the white Pele had another good game on the right, just without any wondergoals today. Fastly becoming the fans favourite and his chant was the loudest today.
Ageymang - 7 - worked very hard and showed great pace, strenght and determination, scoring a good goal. This guy is really like a young Paul Furlong and was a steal at 350K. He always looks dangerous and like he could score which is something we need. Is he a 20 goal a season man? ... the jury is still out on that one.
Blackstock - 5 - A poor preformance today. Simply does not look at all like he could score in recent weaks and does not offer the threat of Vine or Ageymang. I assume he will be dropped when Ephraim returns from suspension.
Subs - Mahon, Stewart, Lee - all made little impact as were used very late
Unused - Pickens, Balanta
Home fans - 7 - decent yet unspectacular attendance. R block area was loud but everywhere else seemd quiet in comparison.
Away fans - 5 - quite low attendance - probably between 500-1000 and poor noise. Many left very early and the singing stopped at 1-1.
Luigi De Cainio - 6 - he got the result and his team showed a good never-say-die attitude but i wasn't sure about his team selection at all. Blackstock again at centre forward?? No Ainsworth on the bench meant we had very little attacking to bring on when things were not looking good at 1-1. Starnge subs also taking of Rowlands, Buzsaky and Ageymang.
Referee - Awful - gave away several silly free kicks that were undeserved against us as well as yellow cards that were seemingly unessecary. Our penalty also looked kind of dodgy!!
Rumour Mill
Just back from the ground and heard a few rumours about a potentially highly worrying transfer.
As i say this is a rumour and might not be true but seems believable.
Apparently, Harry Redknap attended the recent Blackpool game to check out Akos Buzsaky and i was told that he has had enough of Martin Cranie and is trying to organise a trade ... Cranie + Money for Buzsaky.
Even though Cranie would be a decent addition to the squad we must not lose Buzsaky as he will be vital if we are to get promoted next season, proving his worth by winning the official MOTM award today.
Anyway, this is definitely not confirmed but i thought i would pass it on because it could be massive for the club.

Martin Cranie
Strong rumours that Martin Cranie will return to QPR on loan from Portsmouth after an earlier successful loan spell and fitness doubts over certain QPR defenders, such as Fitz Hall.
Cranie is a quality player capable, in my view, of future Prem and possibly even international apperances however i am slightly concerned that his return would break up what is a largely successful, solid and improving championship defence. Manciene is quality at right back and althoug Delaney can make minor mistakes he is a vast improvement on any left back we have had in recent years. Fitz Hall is our big Centre Half so it seems logical that if Cranie returned to the 11 it would be at the expense of Matthew Connely, who has come on leaps and bounds lately.
Therefore, i have a dilema. Adding someone of Cranie's quality to the squad is a positive move and would mean we would see less of Rehman or Stewart, who can both be good on the night but generally are not Prem or even Playoff quality however it could disturb a defensive unit capable of getting this club promoted.
I think it would be worth adding him overall as he really impressed at his previous QPR spell but hope it is not at the immediate expense of Connely.

Akos Buzsaky
For the first time today i realised that Akos is our top scorer this season and with Ageymang's form drying up it looks like he could also end this season in that position. He is a very classy player and adds a lot of spark and creativity to the team, providing much needed goals and assists. 500K seems an absolute bargain for him as he must be worth around £2.5/3 million if not even more and i sincerely hope he stays with QPR and gets us promoted instead of being attracted to the Prem as early as next season. He seems equally gifted in a number of positions and after making an initial impact at centre mid he has now flourished on the wing position.
My only worry is that his form will dry up, especially in goals scoring terms because throughout his career he has not been a prolific goalscorer. Indeed, he has already scored more goals at QPR in his short spell at the club than he did at Plymouth, where he made over 100 appearances.
However, whilst his form last he is arguably one of the best players in this division and i predict he will be instrumental in getting us promoted next year!

Who will go at the end of the season???
I predict that Gigi will really wield the proverbial axe when it comes to the end of the season so as to make room for new players who will help to get us promoted next season.
Therefore, i think all the players currently on loan will be discarded, with Bolder almost definitely gone with the new Captains and Walton likely to follow. It also appears that Dexter Blackstock is likely to follow after failing to impress the gaffer with his poor goal-scoring rate this season.
I also imagine that current players who simply do not make the 16 such as Rehman, Howell, Cole and Goode will also follow and even possibly Damion Stewart.
These all seem like positive changes but i am just slightly concerned that we are releasing too many young players with great potential. I think it was a big mistake to chuck St. Aimie and especially Kanyuka and believe Jake Cole could be another talented youngster who will leave without his fair shot.
That would leave very few palyers from the Gregory days, probably with only Rowlands and Camp.
Hopefully though with a much smaller squad Gigi will be able to add several big names to QPR. I think it is very important to sign Manciene and am not bothered by Kerion Lee at the moment. I personally would also like to see Earnshaw added to the squad!!!

QPR Vs Scunthorpe - my preview
We look to continue are good recnet home form for the visit of Scunthorpe tomorrow. Whilst, we are now in the top half of the table are opposition finds themselves in a desperate relegation battle, similar to us last season.
I predict a home win for QPR and a clear home win at that and believe our quality midfield with it's goal-scoring potential will prove too much for our opposition. QPR have a fully fit teams with Mahon, Rowlands and Fitz Hall all fit despite recent minor injuries.
Scunthorpe recently won their last home game against Plymouth but i think an away trip to Shepherds Bush will simply prove too bigger task for them because of the lack of the necessary quality in their team. With the possible exception of ex Prem goal scorer Horsfield there seems to be little quality in their squad.
Therefore i think it should be a win for QPR and quite fancy the Rs at 4/6 or 6/4 for both halves.
Predicted QPR team
Camp
Delaney Hall Connely Manciene
Vine Rowlands Mahon Buzsaky
Blackstock Ageymang
Subs
Balanta Pickens Leigertwood Stewart Lee
That would mean no Ainsworth or Rehamn in the 16
However, i personally would prefer to see Ainsworth started on the wing and move Viney up-front at the expense of Blackstock ... Come on u R's

Joe Dunbar
News just in off the official website ....
Joe Dunbar has left QPR because accoring to Chairman Gianni Palidini he didn't fit in with the new management team.
Joe said he was sad to go and enjoyed his time at QPR.
Good luck to him ... maybe he should join Micky Harford at Luton!

Dexter Blackstock
Looks like we have seen the end of Dexter's stay at Loftus Road as i read in the London Lite Luigi is going to offload him at the end of the season after failing to impress with his goal tally this season.
It is a shame because he seems like a nice enough blocke and his 14 goals last year were vital to our championship survival but he has failed to cut the mustard this year and doesn't look good in comparison to Ageymang or Vine.
Dexter would be a good buy for anyone in the lower half of the championship like Colchester or Scunthorpe because he will score and is is decent in the air or on the deck.
It is unfortunate because only recently he looked like he could be the next big thing, an under 21, scoring loads. I even heard we recieved and rejected £2million bids from Derby and Sunderland. Sadly, we will probably be lucky to recieve half that figure now, both because of Blackstock's poor form and our new financial position.
It looks as if Blackstock will be dropped from the 11 with the return of Ephraim and Vine moved up front to partner Ageymang and therfore Dexter will probably be used as a substitute or reserve for the rest of the season.
The one thing that concerns me is we have already offloaded Moore, Nygaard and Baidoo. We got rid of Gallen and Furlong last year and Nardiello is on loan and probably will never be returned. If Dexter leaves we will be left with just Ageymang (whose goals have dried up), the kid Balanta and Vine (who is a great playmaker but not a 20 goal a season man.) This means we are relying on the goal-scoring capabilities of our midfielders too much recently and without valuable goal scoring contributions form Ephraim, Leigertwood, Buzsaky and Rowlands we could be in trouble.
Therefore, we need a new stiker. We should have attempted to steal Leroy Lita from Charlton or Earnshaw from Derby. We will see how much Bernie and Flavio will give towards this before next season.

Gareth Ainsworth
Recently Gareth Ainsworth has not been making the starting 11 or even starting 16 as much as i would have preferred and he has been taking more of a behind-closed-doors coaching role, helping with the warm-up and giving team-talks etc.
Ainsworth has recently been made the club-captain however Martin Rowlands leads the team on the pitch and wears the armband even if both players are playing at the same time.
Gaz still has a year left on his current contract but it is due to be announced that he will take a new and re-defined role as a coach at the club.
In a recent interview he commented, "QPR is the only place I want to be and I hope my experience and knowledge of the game can help the club."
I have mixed feelings about this news. On one hand i am glad such an individual of such experience and quality is committed to the club yet on the other i sense it calls to a close Ainsworth's starting days - a great shame as he still has much to offer. I often feel he is worthy of a place in the 11, especially in Ephraim's abscence and i think it is riduclous not to have him on the bench in favour of a selection of defenders.
It is great he is taking an active role of the pitch but Ainsworth should still be involved on the pitch. Either way, it is great that we have an English QPR Pro on the coaching staff as a sign of the old QPR, pre Bernie and flavio. I only wish some of the other recent QP|R legends were treated with the same respect ... Bircham, Furlong etc

Lakshmi Mittal
Lakshmi Mittal has now gone up to the fourth richest man on the Forbes rich list and is the richest man in the country.
His representative at QPR, son in law, and Vice-chairman of QPR plc recently commented that he wants QPR to win the Premiership and rival Chelsea in the not too far future and is prepared to offer the finance needed.

Michael Manciene
We must sign this guy on. Gifted at centre half but really made the right back berth his own of late. Good and strong in the air and excellent with the ball at his feet. A quality player for this division and one who could potentially get us into the premiership. And he is still only young so could potentially get even better.
At the moment we have him on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season but after that expires he is going back to the bridge as it stands, where he will have 2 years left on his contract. Therefore, they will probably be unwilling to give him on a free transfer. However, despite his strengths Chelsea cannot be too enthusiastic about him as they have loaned him out to us for the best part of 2 years and he is not about to displace John Terry et al.
We could easily sign him on a permanent deal and probably for less than a million. A definite purchase for Bernie and Flavio!

Betting
William Hill now make us favourites to win league next year without the relegated Prem teams.
Ladbrokes - 4/6 for home win against scunthorpe - i will be backing due to their poor league position and our great home form.
Also 25/1 for a repeat of our 3-2 win on tuesday.
6/4 on us being in the lead at the ned of both halves - good bet cause we always seem to score early on at home.

Loftus Road again a fortress
Rowan Vine - Loftus Road is a fortress again
"If we score goals every week we've got every chance of continuing to climb the table"
Our home form is amazing at the minute with the exception of Burnley.
Even though our strikers aren't banging them in our midfield offers immense scoring threat and at home with the Loftus Road crowd we seem to do this buisness.
If we keep home form up and imporve a bit on our away form we should get promotion next year.

Ephraim
Hogan is suspended for the next 2 games and i think we will miss his creativity. Vine was a good substitute for the previous game but think he would be best used up front.
Bring back Ainsworth to the 16 ... he still has much to offer!

QPR Vs BLACKPOOL - My review!
QPR 3 - Blackpool 2
Attendance approx 11,000
Goals - Buzsaky, Rowlands, Vine
First hour QPR looked amazing going 3-0 up showing premiership potential. Then allow Blackpool back into the game.
Player Ratings
Camp -6- let in 2 goals but not sure he could have done anything about them. He should keep his place but Pickens looks quality in the warm up.
Delaney -6- always a threat going forward with good movement and crossing. However, didn't always appeasr defensively solid making several mistakes which could have been costly. Nevertheless, preferable to Barker.
Hall -7- very big and very solid. Looks like he will be a very good player for us.Connelly -8- played amazing well in the first hour, always there when it mattered. Really impressed me and looks like a real good partnership with Hall is developing.
Manciene -7- looked decent in the air and on the deck. We must sign him on, so good.
Vine -8- a real attacking threat on the left wing. Scored a good goal and created lots. His best game for QPR for a long time. However, not sure he should play on the wing when Ephraim is back.
Leigertwood -5.5- quiet performance didnt notice him too much. Won some headers but didn't make a big impact.
Rowlands -7.5- official MOTM - good to see him back on the scoresheet. Played well in the centre with a good captain's performance.
Buzsaky - 8 - a constant threat. Scored a good goal, if not a little flukey, with several crosses and shots on target. Blackstock - looked decent but didnt look like scoring at all and hasn't for a while. Move vine back up front for gaz or ephraim maybe?
Ageymang - 6.5- not his best game but worked very hard. Goals seem to have dried up though.SUBS- Rehman, Lee,Mahon
Unused- Pickens, Stewart, Balanta
Very disappointed not to see gaz involved, especially with ephraim suspended. Why have so many defenders when he can really change the game.
Fans-Home -5- bit disappointed. Poor attendance. Sat in south Africa for the first time in a while. Full of tourists. No chanting at all. Could hear ellerslie but it was hardly proliffic. Blackpool were singing "3-0 and you still dont sing." Sadly, they were right.-
Away - 9 - not great attendance (probs about 500) but very loud with constant noise. Kept singing like maniacs even when they were 3 down.
Gigi - 5 - not certain about his team selection or his substitutions. Upset gaz was left out of the 16 and his subs were too negative, encouraging the team to sit back.

Gigi De Cainio
Attempted to speak to the gaffer after the recent QPR game against Stoke. Seemed like a thoroughly nice bloke, happy to sign autographs and have photos taken.
However, he really cannot speak the language, barely a word in fact. This is worrying to me because it makes me wonder how much he can control the players if they do not understand him.
Our rise up the table only came after his arrival but i wonder if this ascendance is down to Luigi or the new finances now available to us. Could anyone lead QPR up the championship with the finance and players available or is this Gigi's hidden genius??
We shall she......
